Chick is an award winning artist who draws and paints unique artwork based on the nude figure, Scottish harbours and the built environment. Working in oils, acrylic and pastel, his current work is mainly inspired by the light and atmosphere of the Scottish coastline and harbours, as well as the architecture and light of our towns and cities.
I met Chick at art college in Dundee, back in the 1970s when we both had long hair. At one point, we shared a flat with fellow artist Steve French, who in turn would brag that he shared a flat with two chicks! Groovy baby!
