Iām very proud of, and to be honest even amazed at, my college portfolio ā proud that it was one of the cream of the crop at that time; amazed at my own patience to sit and labour over each piece, in the days long before the touch of a keyboard could provide several colour variations on a theme, each piece had to be painstakingly produced using a paintbrush, pen or pencil. I remember even painting 6pt type onto a business card visual, shown below!
So here’s a selection of things I got up to during my rather longer than normal time at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (DofJ) in Dundee ā I did two years of Architecture before switching to do four years of Graphics and a Post Diploma (half) year. Happy days. Respect to John Greensmith, Don Shannon, Willie Watt, Neil Dallas-Brown, Bob Miller-Smith and Bill Barr who all helped steer me in the right direction.
